Some simple tips to get you started:

  • If you usually walk or  jog outdoors with headphones on, try doing without the headphones for a week or two and take note of any differences

 

  • Place a fragrant flower (eg rose, freesia or gardenia) in your car

 

  • Use your screen saver as a ‘scream saver’ !!     Have a picture of a beautiful outside place which frequently reminds you to connect with your beautiful inside place

 

  • Eat your lunch under a tree

 

  • Eat slowly and mindfully:  savour the colour, shape, taste, smell and texture of each piece of fruit or salad vegetable

 

  • Vary your route home from work so you can stop for a few minutes by a beach to breathe in the sea air and listen to the waves or at a park where you can feel the breeze on your face and listen to the leaves rustling
